Made in 1969 this is one of Roberts finest!

Still retaining the wooden construction and conventional transistor circuitry this beauty offers VHF FM-LW (great for cricket!)MW (radio 5 etc) and Shortwave,useful if you want to use it in a foreign country for The World Service etc.

Measures 13 x 7 x 4 inch’s, so it can house a BIG 7 inch speaker giving a tone you just don’t get on today’s smaller sets.Separate controls for Bass and Treble.

The condition is completely original,the handle has no cracks or loose stitches .Aerial is good with no kinks. Has been fully serviced and is covered by the Goldie Oldie 6 Month RTB warranty.Runs off a standard lantern Battery’s.

This is the rarer 865 version of the famous “Yacht Boy”.The main difference being this one covers the Marine band 160/125/90/75 Meters as well as ShortWave bands 49/41/31/25/19 Meters.Standard MW AND VHF FM !(what does’t it cover!).Couple this with separate BASS/TREBLE control and a whopping big speaker you get GRUNDIG QUALITY!

This is an early example of the famous HACKER portable radio.Covering Medium and Long waves it is surprisingly sensitive and pulls in all your favourites stations such as BBC Radio 4 and 5, ideal for the cricket!The condition of the cabinet is EXCELLENT as is the handle.The dial glass is unmarked and clear.
